Feel more grounded. Less overwhelmed. More like yourself.
Hi, I’m Emily Harlan
I help high-achieving women who are tired of spiraling thoughts, impossible standards, and feeling like they’re holding everything together for everyone else.
You remember a time when life didn’t feel this heavy. When you weren’t so overwhelmed by anxiety or so focused on doing everything right for everyone else. You’re smart, capable, and motivated—but even with all of that, it’s hard to quiet the pressure. You wish you had the tools to make a real change.
You’ve come to the right place.
Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
I help women just like you find calm in the chaos and start living life on their own terms—not defined by anxiety, guilt, or perfectionism.
With a mix of practical tools and genuine connection, I’ll help you:
Understand your anxious thoughts instead of being ruled by them
Quiet the inner critic and build self-trust
Set boundaries without spiraling into guilt or self-doubt
Let go of the pressure to be perfect—and actually feel like yourself again
We’ll start with what feels most urgent: the big emotions that make it hard to function or even breathe some days. I’ll give you tools you can start using right away.
From there, we’ll explore the deeper patterns—like relationship dynamics, self-worth, and values—so you can live in a way that finally feels right for you.
Why I Do This Work
I know this path well—not just as a therapist, but as someone who has lived in these same spaces. I’ve worked in high-pressure academic environments, earned my graduate degree while navigating perfectionism, and now balance motherhood with a career I love. I understand the pressure of trying to get it all “right” while secretly wanting to hide under the covers.
When we work together, you’re not just getting a trained therapist (though I am that too). You’re getting someone who deeply understands what it’s like to be in your shoes—and who’s here to help you out of survival mode and into a more grounded, confident version of yourself.
